Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are commonly used to make websites work, improve the user experience, and provide information to website operators.

Cookies can be “persistent” (they remain on your device until they expire or you delete them) or “session” cookies (they are deleted when you close your browser). They can also be “first-party” (set by the website you are visiting) or “third-party” (set by a separate domain).

In this policy, “cookies” also includes similar browser technologies such as localStorage entries used to remember preferences and consent choices.

We group the cookies and storage entries used by ZENIA into the following categories:

• Strictly necessary — essential for the website, dashboard, account access, security protections, language preference, and cookie-consent storage.
• Analytics — optional analytics that remains disabled unless you explicitly enable it through the cookie preferences controls.

Language preference and cookie-consent storage are treated as strictly necessary because they remember your explicit choices. We do not currently use marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies on the public dashboard.

You can review or change your choices at any time using the “Change cookie preferences” button at the bottom of this page.

These cookies and storage entries are required for the website, dashboard, and security controls to operate and cannot be disabled through the cookie preferences panel.

Depending on the part of the Service you use, ZENIA may use strictly necessary items such as:

• Session authentication cookie — used to keep you logged in. In this codebase the default cookie name is buildbot_indexer_sid, but the deployment may configure a different server-side session-cookie name. The cookie is HttpOnly, Secure where supported, and SameSite=Lax by default.
• CSRF session token — used with state-changing dashboard requests. In the current implementation it is stored server-side in the session and returned by the authenticated session endpoint for use in the X-CSRF-Token header. It is not exposed as a separate browser-readable cookie.
• buildbot_lang — language preference storage used to remember your chosen display language.
• buildbot_cookie_consent — consent preference storage used to remember your cookie choices and timestamp.

These items are used only to provide core functionality, security, language preference, and consent management. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Optional analytics helps us understand how the ZENIA dashboard is used, which features are most valuable, and where users encounter problems. This information guides product development.

Analytics remains disabled unless you click “Accept all” or explicitly enable Analytics in cookie preferences. No third-party analytics provider is currently loaded through the public dashboard, and no dedicated analytics cookie or storage key is currently created by this implementation.

If we introduce an analytics provider in the future, we will update this policy, document any new cookie or storage names, and request consent where required before enabling it.

We do not currently use marketing, advertising, or cross-site tracking cookies on ZENIA.

If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and the consent controls before setting such cookies.

You will not be profiled or targeted based on marketing cookie data collected through ZENIA.

Preference storage helps ZENIA remember choices you have made so you do not have to set them again on each visit.

• buildbot_lang — stores your chosen display language (for example, en or ro). It may be stored using browser localStorage rather than a cookie. It persists until you clear browser data or change the language.
• buildbot_cookie_consent — stores your cookie consent choices, accepted categories, and timestamp. It may be stored using browser localStorage. It persists until cleared or updated.

These entries are used for preferences and consent management. They are not used for marketing or cross-site tracking.

The ZENIA dashboard may interact with third-party services where they are needed to operate specific product features. Those services may set their own cookies only when you are redirected to their own domain or interact with their own interface.

• Paddle, if paid subscriptions are enabled — Paddle may set cookies or similar technologies on Paddle-controlled checkout, billing, receipt, or subscription-management pages. ZENIA does not control cookies set on Paddle’s own domains. Please review Paddle’s own cookie and privacy notices for those pages.
• AI inference and embedding providers — content needed to generate responses or embeddings is processed server-side. AI providers do not set client-side cookies through the ZENIA widget or dashboard.

The embedded chat widget uses only the storage strictly necessary to operate the conversation, maintain session continuity, and protect the service. No third-party tracking is injected through the widget.

A summary of cookie and storage durations used by ZENIA:

• Session authentication cookie — session-based or until inactivity expiry, depending on the active server configuration
• CSRF session token — tied to the current session lifecycle
• buildbot_lang — persistent preference storage until cleared or changed
• buildbot_cookie_consent — persistent consent storage until cleared or updated
• Optional analytics — no dedicated analytics cookie or storage key is currently created by the public dashboard implementation

Server-side session cookies are intended to be short-lived. Persistent client-side preferences are stored so the Service can remember your choices.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time in the following ways:

• Cookie preferences panel — Use the “Change cookie preferences” button at the bottom of this page to reopen the consent dialog.
• Browser settings — Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in. Consult your browser’s help documentation for instructions.
• Clearing localStorage — You can clear buildbot_lang and buildbot_cookie_consent by clearing your browser’s site data for buildbot.ro in your browser settings.

If you change your consent choice, it applies immediately to the current consent state. Any optional analytics introduced in the future must honor the updated preference before loading.
