The Settings tab lets you configure the chat widget's appearance and behavior for each domain.
Theme
Choose from the available themes. The selected theme applies to the dashboard preview and to the embedded widget on your site where supported.
Position
Set where the chat widget appears on the page: Bottom Right (default), Bottom Left, Top Right, or Top Left.
Contact URL
Set a contact page path, such as
/contact, that ZENIA can suggest when a visitor needs to contact you or when a direct contact action is relevant.Embed Code
Copy the generated
<script> snippet to add the chat widget to your website. The public embed script detects the current website hostname automatically and can use optional theme and position settings. See the Embedding the Chat Widget section for details.Welcome Message
Customize the first greeting visitors see when they open the chat. Go to Settings > Welcome Message, type your text, and save the change. A preview can show how the message appears in the chat bubble. Click Reset to Default to revert to the generated greeting.
Retrieval Settings
Adjust how strictly ZENIA selects knowledge sources for answers on this domain. These settings affect how source material is selected and how confident the assistant needs to be before presenting an answer. Open Settings > Retrieval Settings to adjust the values. Click Reset to Default to clear your overrides and use the default settings.
Citation display controls
Open Settings > AI Behavior to control how citation chips are displayed in the chat widget for this domain. These controls apply to both the dashboard preview and the embedded widget where supported.

| Make citations clickable | Enabled | When enabled, website and file citations can open their source links. Depending on the domain settings, links may open in a new tab or in the current page. |
Clear Chat History
Clears the conversation history for the dashboard chat preview. This does not affect visitor conversations on your live site.
