Domains
The Domains page lists every website you have added to ZENIA. Each card shows the domain name, a snapshot thumbnail if available, and the latest crawl information.
Click a domain card to open the Detail Page with tabs such as Overview, Links, Knowledge, Settings, Crawl Log, and Chat Sessions.
Setup
Adding a new domain
Click + New Domain on the Domains page, or use Quick Index on the Overview page. Enter the URL and click Start Index. The domain appears in your list when indexing begins. You can enter either a root domain, such as
example.com, or a subdomain, such as app.example.com.Structure
Subdomain support
ZENIA treats each hostname as a separate domain. For example,
example.com and app.example.com are two distinct entries, each with its own crawl data, knowledge sources, chat sessions, and settings. Both count toward your plan's website limit.| Input | Stored as |
|---|---|
example.com | example.com - root domain |
app.example.com | app.example.com - subdomain, separate entry |
https://www.example.com/path | example.com - protocol, www, and path removed |
WWW.App.Example.COM | app.example.com - lowercased, www removed |
Status
Domain status
Each domain shows a status chip:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Indexed | The crawl is complete and the AI chat is ready to use |
| Crawling | A crawl job is currently running |
| Error | The last crawl failed. Check the Crawl Log tab for details |
| Pending | The domain exists but has not been crawled yet |
Maintenance
Re-crawling a domain
Click Crawl from the domain detail page. A confirmation dialog explains what will be updated, such as crawl results and knowledge sources. Chat history is preserved. On later crawls, ZENIA can use incremental indexing so unchanged pages do not need to be fully processed again. See the Incremental Indexing section in the technical docs for more details.
Crawling strategy
Crawl strategies
The confirmation dialog may offer different crawl strategies, depending on your plan and domain setup:
| Strategy | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Automatic (default) | ZENIA discovers internal pages automatically, respects supported site access rules, and indexes pages within your plan limit |
| Active Links | ZENIA crawls only the pages you selected in the Links tab. The homepage is always included. This option is available when active links have been selected. |
Sessions
Chat Sessions
The Chat Sessions tab shows conversations for that domain. You can open available transcripts, delete individual sessions, or use Clear All to remove sessions for that domain.
Destructive action
Deleting a domain
Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of the domain detail page. Click Delete Domain and confirm. The domain is moved to the deleted domains area and stops counting against your plan quota while it remains deleted. Its associated crawl data, knowledge sources, settings, and chat sessions may be preserved so the domain can be restored later.
Recovery
Restoring a deleted domain
Open the Domains page and expand the Deleted Domains panel at the bottom. Click Restore next to the domain you want to recover. The domain is reactivated if your workspace still has room within the current website limit.
Permanent removal
Permanently deleting a domain
In the Deleted Domains panel, click Delete Permanently. This action is irreversible. It removes the domain and its associated product data from ZENIA, including crawl data, knowledge sources, settings, logs, usage records, and chat sessions linked to that domain.
